THINK PINK
So, you hit that magical “middle” age.
Now what’s a girl to do?
You think it’s happening to somebody else
And definitely not you.
Everyone around you is so proud
They cover you in black
And buy you dead flowers
And paint R.I.P. upon your back.
It’s only a number
Keeps repeating in my head
I still feel like I always did
And their acting like I’m dead.
So, I’m starting something new this year
i said…. and gave a wink.
I’m starting “fresh at forty “
No black for me, just pink!
So, you can throw away dead roses,
& pour black paint down the sink.
Cuz today I’m turning forty
And officially I’m PINK!
